i picked up this Pioneer SX-550 receiver and Bose 301 series II speakers this morning at a yard sale for $40.,i didn't need it but i couldn't pass it up.A nice beginners setup. This will go into the wife's workout room,i won't mind struttin' on the treadmill now. Also a David Bromberg - Midnight On The Water album for $2..
I had an old Pioneer tape deck once. I plugged that in to everything I had with a stereo system. But my landlord without my knowledge threw that out for an inspection. Now I have acquired a JVC tape deck. I like what the old systems could give. I recall that Pioneer had Dolby on their tape deck. Pioneer and Fisher seemed to be the top brands when tape decks were in. Bose is something I have not checked out yet. Who I know that has had them can seem to get the most sound per watt from them.
