Hey Colin!
This was really a sweet song. I really like how it's glued together with the interludes, and a fabulous bridge by the way! This vibe really fits your vocal quite well. Great simple song with nice melody, arrangement, production, & great performance with the acoustic guitar. Also, I think having NO harmony gives this song a more personal feel--but understand as composers, it's hard to resist harmony--but I think this works great alone IMO.
Great write here!

Colin, I like this. It's got an easy-going country flavor. Reminds me of something Don Williams could have taken a swing at.

Colin, this is a rough draft? It sounds great as is. A fine blend of sweet and sad, wishing and hoping. Nice!

Hi Colin:
I like everything about this "reflective" Country Song. Great vocal, nice backing and a sincere, heartfelt lyric. Can't wait to hear a version with the entire band... if and when you choose to record it that way. Best of luck with it! ----Dave

Wonderful performance Colin. Sounds great to my ears but then again I'm a sucker for a good waltz.

Hey Colin,
Sounding better & better! Like the additions. I might lower that electric lead guitar about 2 db at the intro, so as not to have the following acoustic's entrance feel as thin "only" by comparison--certainly sounds very good -- maybe move the acoustic over to the R just a "tad 12-15%" to enhance that intro shift from L to R--even though your acoustic guitar is probably on a stereo track. I like the electric intro though, as it let's the listener know right now that this is a country flavored song.
Just a tweak sug--proof will be in the pudding. Love the song Colin.

Hi Colin, I'm agreeing w/Eddie again. You have a naturally gentle voice, and this song is a perfect match. Chet Atkin's had the perfect template for recording your kind of voice: close mic'd vocals, then brightening them and upping the compression levels a tad, and a slight but tasty bit of hall reverb.. The guitar work is just stellar. The whole piece is a mellow piece of beauty. Mike

Draft? There's a heckuva lot of things to like in this draft.
The soundstage is really good via our monitors.
All the tracks get along very well with one another to yield a mellow sound but yet there is still a lot of heart in it.
Enjoyed it.

Mike,
Thanks for that. I think I do about what Chet did. My voice sounds muddy without those tweaks.
