Yeah....you probably would get the same amount of exposure whether you went or not. I've heard that a lot of artists who go end up playing for an audience of about three people.

Even though it's only 3 hours down the road... it is building a reputation for attracting only disconnected Presidents. I don't need to "party" with a bunch of drunks and miscreants who have a tendency to drive their cars through the crowds.
Ray, that "day job" is getting more attractive every day... but I don't wanna have to say "I failed retirement!" LOL!
Thanks for sharing, Ande. ----Dave

I don't know what to make of SXSW. Last year and this year my country Trinidad and Tobago were given our own stage at the festival. The contigent said that it was excellent and that they performed to sold out audiences. I have not heard of any of them receiving touring opportunities or anything else yet. But I await. It would cost us quite a bit though to get there considering the exchange rate etc. This is one of the bands from Trinidad 5 miles to midnight performing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCFl4j6zjKwAnd also this guy Isasha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adCfuyyf2UkAny way I awiat to hear what the benefits were.
