Mike, to tell you the truth, I don't really care one way or the other. It just makes me wonder how many, if any, tax dollars were spent on deciding something like that? A state dog? Really? I see that the WI state animal is the badger, the WI state domestic animal is the dairy cow, and the WI state wildlife animal is the white tail deer. Is there no state cat? Oh, wait! That's only in ME, MD and MA. Go figure. Sorry, rant over.
Just think about how many jobs were created by coming up with state dogs. BTW Florida doesn't have a state dog. My immediately previous state, Texas, has one I have never heard of...the Blue Lacy.
yeah Colin,i'm someone's loser nephew needed a job to keep him out of jail or something so they made up a job,Anyway,i like it.I've never heard of a Blue Lacy either,i googled it,seems like a hunting dog of sorts, not what i pictured for the Texas dog though.Florida pobably has more lap dogs than anything being all those retirees and snowbirds go there to die.Maybe the Pickapoo would do.
