Pictures On A Digital Frame The Differenz Music: William Brilmayer, Robert Malin Lyrics: Kate Berlin, Robert Malin Production: The Differenz Terrier Studios. Tuscon, Arizona Pictures On A Digital Frame The day before Is better than the day... Better than the day after Because there is no more laughter Pictures on a digital frame There is no shame in going backward Flashing by in random order Painful memories taking me Taking me over Back in time Like riding in a futuristic Bubble of two co-existing minds Back in time Negotiating all the many Boulevards that lead you back to home Back in time Back in time Back in time Pictures on a digital frame There is no shame in going backward Flashing by in random order Painful memories taking me Taking me over solo The day before Is better than the day Better than the day after Because there is no more No more laughter Back in time Like riding in a futuristic Bubble of two co-existing minds Back in time Negotiating all the many Boulevards that lead you back to home Back in time Back in time Back in time Back in time Back in time Back in time https://www.reverbnation.com/thedifferenz/song/23913245-pictures-on-a-digital-frame

Gotta a nice vibe going on here. Love the production and the arrangement. The vocals really stand out. Reminds me a bit of Sting and Phil Collins... really cool.
Well Done

Well, this is a good reminder that we need to spend more time around here.
"Flashing by in random order Painful memories taking me Taking me over"
That is such a great update on the flipping through an album imagery. Stellar. Everything sounds top notch on our monitors and we streamed it in the SUV and it sounded outstanding there also. Great write, vocals and pro all the way production.

Hey, J&B...
Thank you so much for the listen and kind words. It is still a lot of fun, though the challenges gather up on you as you age and that kinda sucks..."laugh, but not out loud". Again, thanks for noticing...

Really cool atmospheric piece of music and enjoyed the lyric. If I had one nit, it was the percussion that would come in. For me, it kind of was a distraction to everything else that was going on. For me the percussion didn't seem to sit right in the mix either. But for it, I liked everything about it.

Hey, Moz...
Thanks so much for noticing us and the kind and constructive comments. We spent about a week on this and tried other percussion as well. From start to finish the concept sort of evolved with all three of us writing parts, starting with Bill's exquisite picking patterns and Kate and I scribbling down lyrics. Again...thanks for the spin.

Dif,
What a cool arrangement here! This song is like a short trip, love the change-ups etc. I kind of felt like I was listening to Seals & Croft's invitation by John Lennon to be part of the White Album and they brought along Brian Wilson..........
Very cool, nice write/performance.

Hey, Steady...
Wow, that was high praise and thanks so much for the spin and kind words. So glad you are still here, pluggin' away!!!~ Truthfully? The notice is pretty much our only income from what we do. And from an artist like you? It's enough!!

I haven't had me an art rock fix like this in ages, which is a bummer as no one does it anymore and yet the lyrics are so contemporary. It shouldn't work but, oh yes, it does, and very well. Nicely done.

Hey, Ricki...
Good to hear from you again. Thanks so much for noticing us and the nice words and sentiments. And yes, as long as we are here and functional, you will get pretty good "the differenz" music with almost always a blast or squirt from the past. All of us, Kate, Bill and myself (Robert), thank you for noticing where we came from and where we now are. After all, that is pretty much the message of "Pictures On A Digital Frame"...

Hi Robert:
My first visit will not be my last. This does has a Phil Collins vibe to it... and your arrangement is very well done. The lyric is insightful, retrospective and certainly captures the imagination. Curtain call to you and your collaborators for a real treat of a song. Wishing you much success and looking forward to hearing more of your work. ----Dave
