Here's my latest co-write. This one took over 2.5 years from start to completion, lol. Monica Allen and myself wrote it, Bob Clay did the original g/v--the demo was done by he Gator Hole. Hope you all like it. Feel free to comment as you see fit http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=1103122&songID=12843785Climate Change When she said we were over November seemed so much colder Her words left me hurt and freezin’ There was no time for grievin’ I had to leave this heartless city Before I was snowed in with self pity chorus: Now I'm ready for a Climate Change Where rum punch pleasures and warmer weather Will get me to the place called “Forget Her” Yeah, it's time for a climate change I followed the snowbirds South Migrating on their winter route Leaving her behind is fine with me Now I only have myself to please So I traveled through the Georgia Pines And drove until I crossed the sunshine state line chorus- Now I'm ready for a Climate Change Where rum punch pleasures and warmer weather Will get me to the place called “Forget Her” Yeah, it's time for a climate change bridge: Ran out of road looking for the answer Wound up in the Florida Keys Happiness comes in many flavors I’m taking the one with sand and sea chorus- Now I’ve found my Climate Change With rum soaked pleasures and warmer weather Since I got here and finally forgot her I found my Climate Change I've made a delightful hot tropical... Good song, Roger et al. I like the verses and bridge a lot. I'm not sure the chorus has enough punch to take this over the top. Also, not sure if "flavors" is the right word to go along with sand and sea. Good luck with it.

Hi Roger and crew:
This is a very nice demo. The title nearly caused me to ignore the song, conservative that I am, but I was so pleasantly surprised. Your demo artist did you a super job and I wish you folks all the best in pitching this country song that sounds so much better than most of the stuff coming out of Twang Town these days. Enjoyed.

Hey Roger...this is probably your final version so I'll just comment on a few things...
~ Production/vocal is very good, as it should be! Nice chord changes, although I did feel that there were too many of them, and I hardly ever say that.
~ I think you missed a real good opportunity in a different hook: The place called “Forget Her”...that is an original monster tag...I'm surprised no one picked up on it...
Nice work.
Zeek

I particularly like the line "Ran out of road looking for the answer". ~ I think you missed a real good opportunity in a different hook: The place called "Forget Her"...that is an original monster tag...I'm surprised no one picked up on it... Zeek Somebody is probably writing it right now.

Zeek Somebody is probably writing it right now. I think this is pretty solid, I wouldnt worry about somebody writing that hook, at best, it will be another song on JPF!

Hi Roger,
What a fabulous production and performance--nice job with that area. I liked your chorus personally.
What I did feel could be tweaked IMO, was your 2nd verse. I think your "summary" statement there is the 3rd & 4th line. The last two lines (Ga pines/Fla line sound more like a verse beginning than ending; as they are more descriptive and give the listener a situation or circumstance rather than modify the previous two lines directly. I don't anyone will think of that during listening of the song--but just an observation--since you welcomed comments. Not a big deal at all, this is a great song.
I'm very impressed with your song and like it a lot--could see Alan Jackson doing this one, if he wants to come back and make a little more doe! Nice job Roger!
