please listen... http://www.soundclick.com/bands/0/calvinstewartHow Can I Hide An Elephant © words and music by Michael LeBlanc/C. Stewart (Feb. 17, 2014 ) How can I hide an elephant I sure would like to know I'd like to keep him as my pet I don't want to let him go I'd dress him in an afghan Like a couch with a lot of funk His ears could be a ceiling fan He'd blow jazz from his trunk How can I hide an elephant I stole from the city zoo I'll supply the food and rent And love from you know who I'd put him in out the backyard He'd like my little pool Surround him with banana trees To let him know I'm cool How can I hide an elephant Old coveralls won't do I just hope he's celibate Cause I can not hide two

I like it. My favourite bit: "Surround him with banana trees To let him know I'm cool" Vic
p.s. I hide mine in the spare room. Seems to work because no one ever sees them.

Hi Calvin and Michael,
This is way TOO CUTE...beginning to end! The image of trying to hide him in coveralls made me laugh out loud! One would hope their old coveralls wouldn't even BEGIN to fit -- LOL!

Calvin, I love it! Really well put together! Funny idea.

But don't hide him in the refrigerator. Why not?
How do you know there's an elephant in your refrigerator? You can see his footprints in the Jell-O!

Cool song The simplicity of it, and the lyric really drew me into it, and the imagery created with the simpleness of it was very cool. Enjoyed!

Elephant/celibate. Very nice.
Why are the vocals so scary if the lyrics are so light? Is this supposed to be a contrast? Or is that just how Dr. Seuss sounds?
JJ.

I want to know what the inspiration was for this Lyric? Love it. Nice job with the guitar work Calvin. Always fun to hear these collabs.

Way, way up on the hilarity scale. It's a real challenge to pick a favorite phrase but for me it comes down to a tie between:
His ears could be a ceiling fan He'd blow jazz from his trunk
and.....
I just hope he's celibate Cause I can not hide two
this is truly inspired silliness which calls instantly to mind the master of this genre Shel Silverstein, who as we all know was a damn fine songwriter in addition to being a successful poet. I can definitely feel Mike's influence in the lyric and I loved your vocal as well Calvin. Great job.

really good fun Calvin and Mike.
I can't even envisage how you steal an elephant from a zoo.
Perhaps hide it in the trunk of your car..
Yep enjoyed it
God Bless Roy and Helen

Hi Roy, Thank you for listening. I'm not sure how to do that either, Mike's in charge of all the underhanded behavior. I'm way too straight laced/innocent to do anything bad. Calvin http://www.soundclick.com/bands/0/calvinstewart
