Can't tell you how to delete, but I sure don't understand what got you upset. I checked a few of the posts and a few of the replies - just people giving honest opinions and mostly support. So were you just looking for rave reviews and more reverbnation listens?

Hi Chris, Sorry you want to leave. Basically there is no account to delete, you simply quit posting and go away.
I did see that you have only posted 30 times and seem upset because people didn’t always agree with your writings. I know most people, here; welcome feedback both positive and negative as it helps make us stronger.
I tried going to your Reverberation website but it seemed like it was down. That’s a shame and I hope it doesn’t lower your already impressive rankings.
Good luck with whatever you do. JPF will always be here to lend good solid and honest advice.

Those who truly want to leave just stop posting and disappear.
The vast majority of people who post about wanting to delete their account or post that they are leaving the forum come back sometime after their tantrum, and after they get over their embarrassment from their actions/reactions.

How come you don't post in the MP3 forum with links to your reverbnation account? Try that out a bit before you give up on it. In the end, do you want honest opinions about what folks think (critically) about your songs? There will be a few jerks everywhere, but for the most part, folks here are considerate. You may not like their opinions, but they are trying to be helpful. Find out who makes sense here and pay attention. You just might improve some. Chris' reverbnation address is http://www.reverbnation.com/chrismaurer

Hate to say it, but maybe this is not the place for you.
You seem quite defensive, thin skinned and unwilling to accept what people say. Not that you have to, or saying what others say is right, you just have to accept they are expressing their honest opinions on what is, in the end, subjective.
If you can understand and work with that, you'll find us welcoming and willing to help. If not, then I wish you all the best wherever you end up.
BTW, it's Occham, Occam, or Ockham, but not Oakum.
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop

I know how to get an account deleted, just ask Brian, he deleted mine for me for about a year...lol
I will say this to you about this site; the folks here for the most part are honest. They aint gonna piss down your back and tell you its rainning. The songwriting level goes from amatuer to professional. If you are looking for a yes man, you might want to look else where. if you want to allow others to give honest input on what you post, you will stay.
Cheers Paul

Chris--
When I was your age, I thought I knew it all--Aging and experience have a way of filling in the gaps, with what one really doesn't know! Later on, you may even agree with me.
Now I'm 75 and learning something with every song I post, mostly from the talent on this site--Devloping an armor plate and patience, have helped me to go on learning things, I never dreamed about in the ANALOG DAYS--Welcome aboard!

What I can say from being a member here since 2006 is that it is a matter of what the members may understand. Most of the members here are not going to like what I consider better for my expression. I would not suggest changing the member name other then to have a new start to better relate to the members and to make it not be hidden of your orgins. My original name on here is my artist aegis when I ask for opinions here in the mp3 forums.
