Max Greco took my lyric and he and Franco Pietropaoli wrote the music and Alessia Magalotti does the fine singing.Another fantastic collab from across the big pond!Thanx Alessia,Franco and Max!Mike http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=12329709Wallflower You were always there, but just a little out of touch Turned your head away,if you looked too much Pretty as you are,you barracade your willing heart Ready to bloom,if you'd only step out of the dark So close yet so far,the distance between The heat in your eyes, burns deep in his dreams The shyness revealed, hides the wilderness inside One touch from your hands, would release the woman that you hide Wallflower wallflower Let the sunshine in You've come of age Let your life now begin Wallflower wallflower Your beauty within Is bursting with colors Let it flow like the wind [V.2 ] [ C ] [ V.1]

Mike, I like this one. Accessible lyrics with a pretty melody. This is a beautiful song. I'd change "Turned your head away,if you looked too much" to "Turned your head away if I looked too much." And I'd work on the second verse which doesn't quite hold together.
If you're using the distance between two objects, you have to give us the second object. You only gave us the distance between "the heat in your eyes" and ...what???? Also "heat" is kind of a hot word for such an innocent song. So's the phrase "the animal inside." I'd rewrite that second verse. There's a lot of ways you could go. This may some like nitpicking but I think it's a good enough song to really get it right.
Good luck, Mike, Max and Franco. You got a good one going.

This is a wonderful example of what collaboration can achieve. I didn't have a problem with the lyrics. I felt that in the very first line "you were always there, but just a little out of touch" you adequately established the two objects for latter reference. The rest of your wording I enjoyed very much. Your collaborators have made a wonderfully suited melody and produced a beautiful arrangement for your song.

Michael, Max, Franco, and Allessia, superb song, I found myself swaying to it as I listen, and picturing a wallflower taking roots in hopelessness, and then seeing her pluckers eyes.~~LOL~Matt.

Hey Mike,
This is really a strong collaborative effort. Congrats to all of you. From the lyric that started it all off to the arrangement, to the production...It's all good.

hey Dan,i appreciate your time and thoughts on this one!The two objects are two people, the wallflower and an onlooker.I think heat works as she is raging inside to become a woman but still holding back at the moment. And i enjoy your nitpickin',that's how we do it here.Thanx Dan!Mike

Your beauty within Is bursting with colors Let it flow like the wind
Don't mind me...I'm just trying to catch my breath. This was such a gem floating around here on the site. What a great listen. So let ask a question...did you intentionally mix the metaphor with this gem? Rarely have I ever heard the "wind flow"...Maybe that is not too big of an issue, you might want to reconsider it? I read everyone else's comments, and no one seemed to be bothered by it so maybe it's just me. (and I'd hardly say I was bothered by it...just noticed it. But I'm easily distracted. Squirrel!)

Hey YOU-ALL--
YOU'RE WORKING HIS ONE INTO A HIT--ISN'T IT WONDERFUL TO BE ABLE TO DO A CO-LAB WITH THE INTERNET--BACK IN THE 60'S, IT WOULD'VE BEEN ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO WORK ONE OUT IN 6 MONTHS--TIMES THEY ARE A CHANGING--I LOVE YOUR INTERNATIONAL EFFORT ON THIS ONE--
MIKE-- I BOUGHT A HORNER BUTTON ACCORDEON MADE IN GERMANY AROUND THE 1920'S TODAY--IT'S LIKE A CAJUN SQUEEZE BOX--EVERYTHING WORKS, WITH THAT ZYDECO KILLER SOUND--I NEED TO MAKE SOME STRAPS FOR IT, AS THE LEATHER IS AGED--BUT, I DON'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY IT!
GOOD LUCK WITH THIS SONG--
Mackie

This song is a brilliant gem, beautiful musical arrangements going on there and a lovely melody. The mix might need a little work, vocals sit a bit too forward, but I must say the song is so good the technical mixing aspects are just fine print and only become important if you want to release it professionally.

Hey Mike, The lyric is just fine, and so is the melody, but to be honest, the lyrical accent doesn't sound real to me. It sounds like a European trying to do Cajun.
Just my opinion.

Absolutely beautiful.
It just makes me smile.
A wonderful collab, indeed.
Max and Franco have worked their usual magic and Alessia's vocals are soft and soothing to the ears.
And Mike the wizard of words has hit another home run.
I just loved it.
