Obviously locking in a solid melody and lyrics does require thought and work. It is a BIG advantage to be working with the singer so you can hear it back right away and not get discouraged by your own voice not fitting. Thanks to everybody who participated in this and the other thread about pop music. Maybe someone else will straggle in later. I'll post what I had here and the goings on of this tune. I had some other cool challenge maybe I'll post it but with so few involved maybe I'll skip it and just practice here some more at 4:55 am
