Our July 2 showcase at The Winchester was a blast! Our thanks to Jim and staff at The Winchester for welcoming us into their club. (For those who didn't attend, it's a great room and they have a lot of wonderful shows there. DO visit them...OFTEN! 12112 Madison Ave.) Our thanks to Tracy Marie for contacting The Winchester about our venue need. The Winchester provided a great sound man so we didn't need to bring anything but our instruments. Chris did a wonderful job handling our varied sound needs. (Thanks, Chris!) Brian and Linda were terrific in keeping the documentary camera--and the show--running. Our thanks go out to them. THEY ROCK! Those who performed shared a wide variety of gifts with us. Many of them took the time to travel from other states to be with us, and that was wonderful. We heard singer/songwriters with guitars and keyboards, rap, "originalalternativejazzfunkfusion", hip-hop, music performed on a saw(!), a one-man electronic band...and more!! It was an exhausting night...but a lot of fun, and I look forward to our next event. (If any of you have ideas for what, when and where that might be, please email me with your suggestions!) We also appreciate everyone who was in the audience being there to come out and hear us play. If you missed the event entirely, you missed a good evening. I hope you'll be able to participate in future events. Finally, our thanks to the members of the media (The Scene and D.X. Ferris, The Plain Dealer, and John Patrick Gatta of Lorain's Morning Journal) who provided coverage of our showcase. (I'm sorry if I've missed anyone--not all print media make it past the Cleveland/Lorain County border checkpoint... ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/wink.gif) ) If anyone who was there wants to share their thoughts on their experience that night, please post your comments on this thread. Thanks again--to ALL of you! I'm looking forward to our next gathering. (Also, don't forget the 2nd Tuesday songwriters circle of the NEOSC and the occasional and very-laid-back E.R. jam [select Friday nights over the summer]--contact me if you're interested in those details!) ------------------ www.dianatyler.com Earthy songs about heaven...and heavenly songs about more earthy things, too. - Will Cheshier

"If someone is truly a jerk, or truly is not deserving of any positive reply from you, polite indifference is the best response you can give. Do not insult. Do not slam. Do not follow the urge to be nasty. Simply be politely indifferent." –Brian Austin Whitney
