I appreciate the discussion, but this has drifted far outside the lane of what my post was about.
I didn’t write a political piece or a commentary on Trump. The song is about abuse of power, victims being ignored, and the truth eventually coming to the surface. That applies to any system or leader, past or present, on any side of the spectrum.
What’s being debated here now is entirely about politics and specific figures — which is not the intent of the song and not what I’m here to discuss. I also don’t see anyone mentioning the victims, which is the heart of the story.
I’m going to stay focused on the creative side: the writing, the structure, the message, and the music itself.
If anyone has feedback on the song or the lyrics, I’m all ears.
