Thanks S-E.......yes, I was actually thinking Niemöller, in the second part. I had the melody and the last closing lines for a while. I got a bit fed up with some of my friend's "going with the flow" mentality. Connecting the proverbial dots, "going with the flow" leads to the apathetic compliance with what Niemöller was writing about.
I'm glad you like it, besides the minor nits you have found in the lyric.

My writing, as of late, has been mostly spiritual/political, and has upset some around the sites. It's hard for me to write about one thing when my heart and attention is on something else.
