I didn't grow up In what you'd call country But my dad had cows And woods across the street It was peaceful Played baseball in the yard And there was a pond At night there were stars
Now I'm a City Boy Hanging out in bars Singing Sweet City Woman By The Stampeders Voting in the Mayor's race Going to the library Stuck in traffic I'm a City Boy
I have an apartment On the Vanderbilt campus Uptown Nashville I won't say it sucks But I can't see the stars Or watch the grass grow One good thing I'm near Music Row

You have weighed in on so many of my pieces over time, and now it's time for me to be on the other side. I see in this piece that there is a bit of a tug of war between your former life in the semi-country to the life you now have in the city. A piece in which your logical mind and your emotions could be at odds. Is that what you had intended? A well-known piece that brings many of these same emotions to mind: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYPJOCxSUFc

I stay here because my son lives here and because of the music.

"If one man can do it, any man can do it. It is true. But the real question is, if one man did it, are you willing to do what it takes to do it as well?" –Brian Austin Whitney
