I have a new CD coming out: it’s a solo-and-unplugged thing I’ve dubbed The Naked Album. 15 of my songs, eight of which haven’t been on an album before. I should have copies in about 10 days. Wherewith, I’m doing a first-ever CD RELEASE EVENT. It’ll be at the Bay City Arts Center (5680 A. St., Bay City, here on the Oregon Coast), SATURDAY, MARCH 28, at 7 P.M. (Pacific Time) in the Arts Center’s dining room. Nice, intimate space, that. There’ll be coffee, and I’ll bake cookies. And as is usual with these Release Events, there’ll be a concert—about an hour and a half’s worth—by me. Solo and acoustic, just like the album. And it’s all free. No gate fee: the concert’s free, the coffee and cookies are free. (Yes, I hope people buy CDs. The CDs are not free.) One thing we are doing that’s different—the Event will be streamed live over the Internet, through ConcertWindow, a streaming service located in Boston, Mass. (That is also free. ConcertWindow usually charges for this, but we’re getting it for free in this case.) Link is www.concertwindow.com/85703-joe-wrabek. If you can’t make it to the Bay City Arts Center in person, just tune in at 7 p.m. (or its equivalent in your time zone) from wherever you are and you can see the concert. And a deal I’m offering to those in Internet-land: if you buy a CD online on Release Night, I’ll eat the shipping cost (which is a little over $2 in the U.S., and more in other countries). Your total cost will be ten bucks. You can pay online (I have a PayPal account), but you’ll need to e-mail me your snail-mail address so I know where to send the CD. ‘Kay? Any questions, please PM or email me. Thank you for being interested. Joe

Sure, Caroline. Remember, they're not here yet. I'm expecting to get them about a week from Tuesday. Send me your snail-mail address and I'll do it.

Just a <bump>, 'cause Release Night is this Saturday (March 28). 7 p.m. Pacific Time, Bay City (Oregon) Arts Center. But if you can't come (and I'd be surprised if anybody on these boards could), you can catch it on them Interwebs. The show will be streamed live over ConcertWindow, a Boston-based streaming service; link is: www.concertwindow.com/85703-joe-wrabekAnd yes, you can even buy CDs online. I has instructions. Hope you can come (or "come"). Joe

I hope to be interwebbing from WI! I don't get much opportunity to watch "live" JPFr's. Hope to see you then.

I can't, really, when I'm playing solo. You really need a band for that.

OK, so, while I didn't get to see as much of the concert as there was, I did finally get to the right place. What I was able to see (and hear) was delightful. I hope it was a success for you and that you had as much fun as your audience. Congrats on your CD. Ricki
