vs From a wonderful invention Like the magic of TV To the internets contention That the world is ours to seize vs With a hundred different war games On a single computer disc Machines aren't trying to entertain us They're saying it's gonna end like this Chorus: Oh the rise of the machines They began replacing human beings They did all our menial chores 'Til we couldn't lift our arms no more
Oh the rise of the machines They got faster, smarter, lean Were as we grew more obese 'Til we couldn't get up off our knees vs Pretty soon they controlled the world Then like fools we gave them form We made robot boys and girls And so an army was born vs We made them even smarter What a stupid thing to do And at first they worked much harder They were working out who was who Bridge: Then the day came they all stopped And the world stopped turning too They gave a list of their demands Unless you comply this world is through Chorus: OH the rise of the machines They replaced all human beings They did no more menial chores And we couldn't lift our arms no more
OH the rise of the machines They got faster smarter lean Were as we became obsolete 'Til we couldn't get up on our feet The rise of the machines The rise of the machines The rise of the machines

Hi Joe,
Good write, even if it is SCARY! The "could lift our arms no more line" is really cool here! I was thinking, in the last chorus, you could have us doing all the menial chores and they can't lift their robotic arms no more ...and then we take THEM back over -- lol!

Hey Lisa I like your idea for the last chorus, but it kind of kills the point of the lyric(machines taking over the earth). Glad you liked it.
Peace Joe

Hey Peggy I was reading about an interview with Stephen Hawking and he said in the not to distant future machines will be able to upgrade their own programmes.
Peace Joe
