Slick production Floyd and I love how it drives along at a great passe. The hook is ace and the vocal are fantastic.
All of the guitar parts are fantastic!!
My only nit would be with the drums and how they sit in the mix. They need a bit more punch to stop them sounding like a computer program. I record using live drums and also program midi parts so I know how hard it to get a great drum sound.
It's a great track but I think if you improve the drum sound it will lift the track to the next level.

Andy - thanks for this. I am working on a new mix. This one was done a while ago, in an old DAW with very little processing (plugins). I work differently now (a different DAW - a wider range of processors) - and drums in newer mixes are quite a bit punchier... So if you happen back by when I get the new one up, I would appreciate your thoughts again....

Hi Floyd!
I loved the up-tempo beat of this song--we need a few more of them around here (including me). I can see there were some challenging timings with this mix, you did well. I especially like the phonetics of "Holly & Heart." This song puts me a little of a country/pop song that Rick Nelson might have done. Nice melody/nice key change.
Another one down de hatch!
