I recorded this track a few years ago on a 12 string guitar and just came across it again recently. The quality of the recording is pretty basic, so I am thinking about re-recording. Would welcome feedback .... https://soundcloud.com/kevin-ism/moving-to-the-edgeMoving To The Edge I've nothing to say to you You've nothing to say to me I feel so out of place I fall on my face This tension's like a wedge I'm moving to the edge I'm out of control again I've lost all my soul again And who can take your place? I fall on my face I've nothing to pledge I'm moving to the edge You said you needed someone to comfort you Well if he did I hope it was worth all the pain You're so fucking dignified I'm swimming against the tide With such amazing grace I fall on my face You wear it like a badge I'm moving to the edge You said you needed someone to comfort you Well if he did I hope it was worth all the pain

Nice folky feeling......I like the vocals; but, maybe, needs some reverb (I'm a reverb junkie, however). Love the way the song moves along...very easy listening, while, at the same time, compelling me to listen to the lyric. Good job! Good stuff -Tom

Hey, YSC...
IMO, Stop everything at the end of the first verse. Enter drums, bass, electric guitar, keys...BIG entry to the second verse. Then, going into the chorus, with that Em I think it is, cut the beat in half with a march...bump bump bump bump.......and after the chorus lead guitar or lead instrument of some kind...these will, IMO, give dynamic to the way you close the song. These are what I would do. But you are pretty damn good without my opinion. Hang in there YSC...PS...love the twelve string. What kind is it?

Hey, YSC...
.PS...love the twelve string. What kind is it? Many thanks for the suggestions. The 12 string is a Seagull. I am left handed, so my selection tends to be limited. To be honest, I don't play it much at the moment because it needs new strings and 12 is just too many to change
