"LAST NIGHT AT THE GRAMMY'S" By me...

LAST NIGHT AT THE GRAMMY'S
WAS A TOTAL DISGRACE
NO TALENT IN SIGHT
ALL LEFT WITHOUT A TRACE

LAST NIGHT AT THE GRAMMY'S
NOTHIN BUT A LOAD OF CRAP
THAT GOES FOR HILLARY...
AND ALL THAT RAP

IT APPEARS THAT GOOD TALENT
HAS ALL LEFT TOWN
GONE TO ANOTHER WORLD
IT'S ALL GOT ME DOWN

SO GOOD TALENT
IS REALLY HARD TO FIND
THEY'VE BEEN BEATEN DOWN AND STOMPED ON
THINK I'M GOING OUT OF MY MIND

SO I STILL WRITE GOOD SONGS
THOUGH I HAVE ONE FOOT IN THE GROUND
I STILL HAVE HOPE IN THE WORLD
BUT NOT MUCH AROUND...

SO AFTER A SWIG OF PEPTO
AND RANTING AWAY AT THE SHOW
I TOOK A BENADRYL AND WENT TO BED
AND THAT'S ALL I FREAKING KNOW...

I really like the cyclical nature of the piece, very clever.

Well,
Dang! I missed the Grammy's again. Not sure what I was watching. Maybe Re-Runs of Batman. Old T.V. shows, Old Music, still pretty good.

Hi Barry:

As you probably know, I don't often visit the lyrics forums... but your "Title" caught my attention. I have no doubt you will be "musicating" this thing in short order. I intentionally missed this Hillary infested show of putrid, flea-bitten has beens... it has become an opportunity for loons to vent their displeasure instead of providing the real audience (the viewing public) with real talent and entertainment. Clever write, my friend. ----Dave

I wish I could make this into a song but as I told you my computer won't covert a cd to an mp3 so now I'm just a lyricist/poet/story teller. SO I'm now looking for a melody writer and a singer.

Hi Barry:

There has to be a fairly simple work-around. We have a fairly large number of Geeks at JPF. Roy Cooper comes to mind. Whoever you may locate will need to know your complete setup including the make & model of your Keyboard, if it is USB capable or is firewire connected to a Digital Recorder and if the output from the DR to the Computer is in WAV format.

I'm not much of a Geek. Don't have time to write songs and keep up with a constant barrage of tech changes and updates.

You are too good a melody writer and singer to have to depend on someone else. ----Dave

Just noticed our new JPF arrival, Charlotte Wood commented first on this thread.

Welcome, Charlotte. Forgive my lack of manners. Here's hoping you enjoy your time with the good people here at Brian's many-faceted, music related website. It takes a little time to learn the ropes but don't be shy, most of the guys and gals here will be happy to help if you have questions.
Stick around. I think you will enjoy JPF and eventually navigate flawlessly and enjoy all the features this site has to offer. ----Dave

It says I have a counterfeit windows media player and won't convert a cd that I can make as that equipment works. So the new song would be on a cd and won't convert to mp3 and so therefore I can't make the song in video or audio form to post...I still have an old keyboard that's some old fashion musical background and a Boss 900...But to tell you the truth I have enough songs that I've written and have moved on to writing lyrics and stories that I post on my facebook page. Thanks !

Barry, I've never seen a Microsoft Message of that sort. I don't put it past those mean-spirited #$%&*'s but most garage sales, computer repair shops or goodwill outlets have these things for sale (used) and they are a piece of cake to install. I'm guessing you have some kind of ransomeware infecting your computer... but that is another adventure.

Before I forget, what software are you using to convert the file coming from the Boss 900's WAV file? I use Wave Pad (a free version from NCH in Australia) and it does a great job.

After a while it all becomes a "bridge too far" and I understand if you believe the struggle is no longer worth it. I'm rapidly reaching that point, too. LOL!

All the best, ----Dave

It's mp3...Thanks Dave....I think this Lymphoma is catching up with me and I don't feel too good anymore. I have pain in both sides of my neck and other things and I only go on my computer five minutes a day now. It is what it is. I have 400 songs on my youtube page when I go and that's ok for me.

I enjoyed your write, Barry! I relate, so I guess those who do will also find it in a good light. I KNOW all the ones sitting on hands recently will just again snear and look like they just had a colonoscopy while awake.

Hope you get your condition taken care of properly before long. Feel better soon,
John
