I am on satellite and I have a 10 GB monthly supply which usually is enough for what I need, why pay for more GB if you don't need them. I have it set up so each month on the second day my payment is automatically charged to my credit card for my new month. Well this month on the fifth day I receive an email from my supplier saying I have used up my 10GB, I thought this must be a mistake, so I phoned them. They said it showed that in the first couple of days I had used up my full months supply, so, knowing I did nothing different to use up that many GB, I wondered if Windows was the cause. I did notice one day that something was downloading on my computer that I had not initiated, it seems that Windows 10 had downloaded all their upgrades without my permission. I had ignored their prompts to upgrade but I no longer get that prompt, so that tells me they are the culprits behind using up my GBs.

Hi Everett:
Living in "the Hinterlands" has it's benefits and drawbacks. The same can be said of Windows, no matter which version but especially v10. Invasive, slow, full of tricks and traps and designed by idiots. Sorry you are having so much trouble. ----Dave

I feel your pain Everett. Windows 10 was forced on me in my new computer. Seems every action has extra steps. I miss W7. But life goes on. When I leave the Internet I like to delete my cookies, history, etc. Still trying to figure that out with W10. Tells me to click on the three dots in the upper left corner - then click on "More" - There Ain't No "More! Bottomline... there isn't anything I like better in W10. Just more difficult to use. John
