I thought I would post a little information about the equipment I use for recording.
This is not meant as an endorsement or non- endorsement. I just wanted to share smile

I have a Mackie Onyx 1620 firewire mixer. It has worked very well for me. I bought the unit in 2005 so it is 5 years old.
Today it died. I have contacted the local authorized service center to see about getting it repaired.
It seems Mackie no longer offers any repair parts for it.
Matter of fact from what I am finding out on the internet is Mackie doesn't offer any repair parts for much of anything they sell.
They also don't offer any support for their Software either. I know because I have been trying to get answers from them for 5 years without success.
Too bad too because I really liked Tracktion.
The Mixer I have cost me about $1300.00.
Like I said I have been happy with it's performance.... until now.
The service center says they MIGHT be able to fix it. But without support from MACKIE. They MIGHT be able to rig something up.

I just thought I would pass this along to anyone who might be thinking about buying a Mackie product.

Just saying.
