There doesn't seem to be a preponderance of Celtic musicians here, but I thought I'd ask anyway: Does anyone here play the bodhran? Or know anybody who does? A song of mine is being re-recorded, and I want to add a bodhran track before I send the seps off to be mixed.

Yeah, but the funny thing is, I play reels really well with the bodhran and jigs with the bones.

Duncan, Ms Goody Haines, and Kevin, thanks for responding.  Nice link, Duncan. I'd checked out a few similar ones last week but decided to look for a competent bodhran player. I'll be getting the seps next week, and want to send them off for mixing soon afterwards. Kevin, thanks for the offer (pending recording equipment being fixed). As it happens, last night I tracked down someone here in the Netherlands who might do it for me. I'm just waiting to hear back from him, so will let you know. UPDATE: In the meantime, not only is this guy (Vincent) willing to provide a bodhran track, he's offered to make a professional recording (includes mix/master)at 24bits 48K. In turn, he'd like to use the song (or part of it) as a promo for his professional studio. Amazing what can happen when you google.  Donna
