Hope everyone had a great Christmas! Can I get advice on creating a "one-stop-shop" experience for customers? Things seem to be getting a bit outta-hand here because we're selling both digital AND physical product. We currently have a PayPal shopping cart on our site at http://www.ravenboymusic.com/ which was a great solution when we only had CDs as a product, and we were mailing them all out. But since things have grown, we can't keep doing the shipping ourselves, so we're in the process of moving everything to CD Baby. THAT seemed like the ultimate solution...until we started selling sheet-music (pdf downloads), and SWAG through Cafe Press. I'm using a trial version of a 3rd-party shopping cart (1AutomationWiz, I think), which works fabulously for digital product. But like PayPal, we'd still have to ship CDs ourselves. And the biggest problem of all is that a customer must go to 3 different stores and pay 3 different times if they want a t-shirt, some sheet music, and a CD. Has anyone here dealt with this? Thanks! Ken

Ken,
Sounds like your problem is more with fulfillment than the shopping cart. If you have your own cart on your site, you can send everybody there for everything. Of course that means you hve to have your own merchant accounts for credit cards, Paypal, etc. And then YOU place the merch orders with the suppliers to send out the merch to the customer (drop shipping). Check their terms to see if they will do that for you. You can also hire a general mailing house to stash your merch and send it out on your request. Just may sure your costs for all this are incorporated in your prices.

Thanks Jeff. I've never heard of a "general mailing house." Are there any company names you're thinking of? I'll check with Cafe Press about drop shipping.
Cheers!
Ken
