Hi, Everyone, As some of you know, I am a performing member of Angel City Chorale, an eclectic 125- member choir in Los Anegles that performs all styles of music, from gospel and jazz to classical and folk. Angel City Chorale is now in its 15th year and is proud to announce the upcoming release of our newest CD, "The Road Home." The CD's theme of home and hope were inspired by the choir's recent partnership with OPCC ( opcc.net) Ocean Park Community Center - an amazing organization with nine fabulous programs to help the homeless and other people in need. Angel City Chorale is donating a portion of the proceeds from sales of "The Road Home" to OPCC. I am proud to be a part of this choir, as we are working to use music to make a difference in our community. Our mission statement is: "Building community, one song at a time" You can read more about the choir, including hearing sound samples, CD sales and other background information at these sites: angelcitychorale.com http://www.myspace.com/angelcitychoraleSamples of songs from the CD can be heard here: http://angelcitychorale.com/cd/cd-theroadhome.htmlEnjoy! Emily

"Sure on this shining night" was absolutely beautiful, Emily, and it was great to hear "Hard Times Come Again No More", an American classic that so few people know these days.
I think I've found a great Christmas gift for this year. Thanks for posting the link.
James

Hi, James!! Thanks so much for responding to my post. I find it very interesting ( and quite revealing about the folks on these boards) that 295 people read it...and only YOU responded!! I am appreciative If you can, try to come to one of our concerts....the director brilliantly breaks the barrier between audience and performer...it is unforgettable...people who don't even like choral music fall in love with our group's unique energy and sound....and spirited performance...! Thanks for the compliments about Sure on This Shining Night...That's my favorite piece on the album. Emily

I'll see if I can squeeze it in. So many things going on this year. I'm in the Los Robles Master Chorale and we've got a concert coming up on Dec. 12 and 13 in Oak Park (out near Agoura Hills.) Is it OK to post an announcement about that here (in a separate thread)?

YES, James, you should post a new thread about your upcoming performance! It will get more attention that way Good luck! Emily

"If someone is truly a jerk, or truly is not deserving of any positive reply from you, polite indifference is the best response you can give. Do not insult. Do not slam. Do not follow the urge to be nasty. Simply be politely indifferent." –Brian Austin Whitney
