Hi Everybody, Al the Pal suggested I try this here. I do an acoustic solo gig...Beatles, Eagles, Buffett, etc. I have the opportunity to move to the Miami/South Beach area, and I'm looking for info about the bar/pub scene in that area. Resort type places that book performers like me. Any info about this is appreciated. Thanks,
Billy

Hey Billy, I don't know much about the Miami bar scene these days, but there's usually PLENTY of little hole-in-the-wall type places at any beach type area here in Florida. They're all over the place down here in the Clearwater/St.Pete/Tampa area. St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, Sand Key, Tampa Shores, Clearwater Beaches, etc. has so many little bar and grills. One suggestion: you might want to get on the internet yellow pages and just start looking under nightclubs or bar and grill type places, get some numbers and just call. Find out if they host entertainment. Another suggestion is doing a websearch with the key words Miami and bars or bar and grill. See what comes up! Okay, hope this helps and best of luck. Billy, Heres an idea. Richard Garland is a member of our local chapter and also publisher of the www.tampabayentertainmentguide.com If you go to his site and contact him he may know of some publications for Miami, on line or otherwise that can help. Review his site, you may want to stay in Tampa instead. Keep Strummin' Al
