Slim, you are supposed to go where the posted lyrics are, not the discussion about them.

Slim,
The lyrics are exactly where you posted yours. Not sure why that is confusing? If you found the post to enter your lyric in the first place, then you know where to find it again to vote. It's the exact same post.

Brian, There are only two threads listed under this forum. One of them is 2003 Lyric Award Guidelines and Discussion (3 pages), and the other is the 2003/2004 Lyric Voting Guidelines and Discussion. The locked thread, with all of the lyrics is not here. Could you perhaps have accidentally moved it?

Hey Slim,
Because the lyric list is locked, it hasn't changed lately. So unless you have "show all posts" or some sufficiently long timeframe selected, you won't see that thread in the list.

Paul,
That would make sense if it was more than 30 days ago.. but it was only 21 days ago.. maybe there's a setting that only shows stuff posted in the last 2 weeks.. the default for the board is to show all topics unless you choose a shorter time frame.
Slim seems to be the first one to have this problem who at least brought it up. If anyone else is having trouble, post here (or better, on the voting discussion post) and we'll help you find what you need.

Brian -
The filter allows you to select "Show posts from last day" so you only see things in the last 24 hours. If you do that there are only two topic threads in this forum - this one and the voting guidelines. The lyric posts are invisible even though they're here.
If slim waits more than 24 hours to check back in again and doesn't change his settings, he won't see his post from before unless someone has added to the topic thread in the interim.

Marty, The one that Brian is talking about is found at the right hand top of the individual forum page, which says show all topics. Unless he changed the default himself it should show up. It always does for me and I have never changed it as far as I can remember.
Slim was just clicking on the wrong topic link. He was supposed to click on the 2003 post your lyrics here link. It's easy to click on the wrong one. There is another post your lyrics here underneath it that doesn't have the year.

I think Marty was probably right.. you can change the amount of time and Slim must have done that for the posts to be missing. He got his votes in, so all is solved.
I just sent a note out to all the participants reminding them all to vote and get their confirmations back. We've gotten a couple more votes in today.
I will update this again when I have more info from folks.

Just received your reminder, Brian. Thanks for staying on top of things.
Two questions: 1) I indicated my intention to vote on 1/29, and emailed my vote 2/03. I received no acknowlegement of receipt. How do I know my vote was recorded?
2) I used to receive email notification of replies to my posts. How do I reinstate that feature? Thanks! - Craig

Can't answer question number one but here is the answer to number 2:
Email Notification If you create a new topic, you have the option of receiving an email notification every time someone posts a reply to your topic. Just check the email notification box on the "New Topic" forum when you create your new topic, if you want to use this feature.

Slim and I talked via e-mail. He had his post viewing set to 20 days so the entries were not showing.

Linc,
I will send a final reminder to all those who haven't voted right before the deadline. With a couple replies trickling in each day, trying to send confirmations to each is too much. This is why we asked everyone to CC themselves when they emailed their votes. If you got a copy, so did we. Unfortunately less than half the people follow that instruction.

Hi all... The default setting for displaying topics is 20 days...I didn't think about that when I went to vote, and couldn't find the topics...because my computer told the program to only display the past 20 days, and the day I tried was the 21st day...so, I've had my Homer Simpson moment for the month...DOH!! Thank you all for putting up with me, and for clearing up the problem (that I created). And, at least I know that MY vote was received...lol.
