(CHORUS) JIGSAW PIECES OF ME IN ALL THE WRONG PLACES MY REFLECTION IN THE MIRROR ONLY ONE OF MANY FACES SO TRUST ME WHEN I TELL YOU THINGS AREN'T ALWAYS WHAT THEY SEEM BUT I'M TRYING HARD TO PIECE TOGETHER THESE JIGSAW PIECES OF ME
TAKE MY HAND STEP INSIDE I'LL SHOW YOU JUST HOW IT FEELS TO BE ON THIS ROLLERCOASTER RIDE HOW TO OPEN THE SEALS ON THESE JIGSAW PIECES OF ME
(CHORUS) JIGSAW PIECES OF ME IN ALL THE WRONG PLACES MY REFLECTION IN THE MIRROR ONLY ONE OF MANY FACES SO TRUST ME WHEN I TELL YOU THINGS AREN'T ALWAYS WHAT THEY SEEM BUT ONE DAY I'LL REDISCOVER THE PERSON I'VE FORGOTTEN HOW TO BE

I find this hard to follow, for a couple of reasons. IN no particular order... * You have WAAAAAY overused your hook line about Jigsaw Pieces of ME, in every verse and chorus. * You have mixed metaphors here a bit, it seems to me, with the jigsaw puzzle and its imagery in the first verse, and then the shattered mirror in the chorus which is a DIFFERENT picture and doesn't sit well with the other one for me... * HOW is he fighting a losing battle with these jigsaw pictures? It's all unclear to me how he fights with a picture or a puzzle...

Thanks for the reply, this happens to be one of the first songs I wrote and it"s not so much about fighting battles with puzzles but more so about all the different emotions we deal with and all the different parts of one personality. I guess this person was having an identity crisis.

Hi, Musicmaker! Remember to put Title of Song, ©Year and Your Name with each piece you post.
Jigsaw Puzzle Of Me ©2002 musicmaker4eva.
I like the concept of the puzzle. Maybe think of writing this with the idea that the singer's life is like a jigsaw puzzle and that the puzzle (his or her life) is nearly complete but the only piece that's missing in the puzzle is "you." (the significant other."
There is nothing wrong with rewrites if it makes the song better. Good luck with this.

Hi JeanB Thanks for the input. This happens to be my first time submitting any of my material so it is an inspiration in itself to be read and responded to. I value all oppinions.

Hi MusicMaker!
Rexy already covered the Flaws here pretty Darn Well!
I just wanted to add I think you got a FINE Hook, and if you just Re-Focus WHAT this Song is really ABOUT, then CAREFULLY Sprinkle in this Great Hook, you'll have yourself a Good'n. I liked the MIRROR Idea, would be a GREAT Opener...
Good Luck with The Rewrite, and all your Future Postings, Amigo!
Big Guy-Hug, & Welcome, Stan

Hi Stan, Thanks for the encouragement and the good advice. I can totally get how people find it hard to make much of this one.I guess I was expressing some kind of transitional period of my own at the time and thought what a better way to write a song than pure emotion or personal experience. I still have a great deal to learn and what better people to learn from.
