Hi- I posted this up in the Musician's Wanted Message Board, but since it'd be ideal if the person lived in (or near) LA, I figured I'd post it here. Thanks! Hi- I'm a JPF Member who's currently working on a project called The Radio Adventures Of Dr. Floyd. This was a little "for fun" project a buddy and I started up a few years ago and now, thanks to the wonders of "Podcasting" it has grown into something pretty cool. We get about 1500 downloads a week on our episodes. We've currently received letters of interest from several different radio stations including NPR. Here's the problem...We don't use our own music. This was not a problem before because we weren't making any $$ on it but now were sort of poised on the edge of making some money so we want to be legit. We need sort of a Music Supervisor/Composer for the show. So, we're looking for someone who fits the following criteria: - great musician who knows about scoring for radio (or tv or film, it's SORTA the same) - can produce short "old time" radio-ish sounding scores - works relatively well under pressure. We do an episode a week. - Has the ability to create good sounding arrangements by themselves. (IE you have a keyboard and a ton of MIDI instruments and you sound like an orchestra) - has a sense of humor and fun (this is a Family Comedy radio show, so we don't need any Death Metal!) :-) - wants to be in on the ground floor of something that is taking off. We've seriously had interest in spinning this off into an animated series and if your stuff worked well for the radio show, why would we NOT bring you in for the TV show? This music issue is something keeping us from taking a lot more big steps, so we're looking to correct that! - this is perfect for a composer looking to fill out a demo reel - It's PREFERABLE that you live in the Los Angeles area, but it is not necessary. We can do this via Digital Files and the Internet, it's just there's the possibility of doing live shows and we'd love to have you along! To start we will probably send you about 5 or 6 clips of the music we've been using. We then hope you could create something very similar sounding yet safe for us to use without worrying about lawsuits. :-) YOU KEEP ALL WRITING CREDITS TO YOUR COMPOSITIONS!! We're not looking to buy anyone out, we want you to become part of the team and share in the success! Just to be clear: There Is NO Money In This Right Now! We're on the verge of getting sponsors and making deals, but at the moment there is no $$$! Once deals are made there will be fair payment for everyone! :-) Anyway, I've rambled long enough. If this interests you at all, take a trip over to: www.DoctorFloyd.com You can download episodes for FREE here: http://www.doctorfloyd.com/eps/ Then get in touch with us. if you have any questions, PLEASE let us know! Send all e-mail inquiries to: info@DoctorFloyd.com Thanks for reading this far, Grant www.DoctorFloyd.com

"If someone is truly a jerk, or truly is not deserving of any positive reply from you, polite indifference is the best response you can give. Do not insult. Do not slam. Do not follow the urge to be nasty. Simply be politely indifferent." –Brian Austin Whitney
