Hi,
My name is annie capps. I'm a singer/songwriter from ann arbor. I've been in the process of putting together a "detroit" chapter and noticed that there have been a few inquiries. I'm happy to share the "coordinator" role with anyone who might be interested. With Michigan being a fairly big state, it would make sense to have several sub-chapters [ann arbor, lansing, port huron...] under the "Detroit" umbrella. I don't want to post my entire plan here, but I did want to make sure that interested parties knew I was moving ahead with this and would welcome any help. I will be scheduling a meeting in the ann arbor area before the end of the year! Details to follow!

Hi Clint,
thanks for the info. I'm hoping to spread the meeting out over a wide area. We're covering lots of the SE Michigan ground so I want to make it convenient to as many as possible.
Still in the beginning stages, but the response from a pilot group has been great!
I'll add you to the list and keep you posted as things progress.
Look forward to hearing your tunes!
Cheers,
annie

Hi,
My name is Leslie Harris (male). I am a lyricist living outside of Detroit. I would love to join the Detroit chapter and network with songwriters in my area. I am struggling to get into this music business as a songwriter. I am in need of collaborating/partnering with a producer/arranger who is good with creating melodies. I have well over 600 very marketable songs to start pitching to the industry. I can be reached at quality6287@aol.com. Some of my style can be seen at

I was surfing the various JPF's forums, and just happened to see your message-

Hi All,
New to post, new to JPF. Looks like GOOD stuff! Annie, Dan Haslett suggested I check this out. Looks very interesting, though Ypsilanti is quite out of my area. Any N. Oakland County meetings coming up?
Any Kerrverts out there? I'll be there 2nd weekend staying at Camp "Lizard Lounge". Come on by!

Hey everybody!
I just posted a new topic!
"Detroit/Southeast Michigan Chapter Info"
Before you reply to this one, go to that one, cause it'll probably explain a few things!
Bear with me, I'm still learning!

Hi Howard,
For now, if you would go to
http://maynardmusic.com/JPF and "sign up" that's the best way to make sure you stay updated. That'll subscribe you to the local chapter list.
Thanks,
annie
Annie:
I'm the "former" coordinator for the Detroit area. I had to give it up in lieu of family responsibilities, however, please include me on any postings or upcoming activities as I'd like to remain involved if at all possible.
Thanks,
Duane Harlick
Hi Duane!
I heard a rumor there was one before. I'll add you to the list. We're off to a decent beginning! But I'd love to pick your brain some time!
