I really like the melody in your chorus. Overall I found the words a little hard to catch, you might want to up the level on the vocals in your recording a bit. Or you could post the lyric here would help as well smile

I like the subject matter, it seems very appropriate coming into the festive season to remind ourselves that not everyone is living comfortably.

Uplifting song, Barry.
I agree with the previous comment about upping the vocal a tad.

Barry I have just heard your music To One Moment In Time Wow very moving, has the music

got lyrics ??? It deserves them Not offering myself just interested and is that the way you work

by writing the melody first

I suppose I liked it as being a singer myself who has made a decent living despite being a virtual unknown

it appealed to my sentimental side

I'll have to go listen but I think that was the accompanying music to one of my songs....I'll go check. I used to always write my music first but mostly have changed to write the words first. I started doing that when I decided to write music to other lyricists words. It was hard at first but got easier. Some of my best melodies are from melodies first but mostly I write the words first. I've always been able to do both words and music and found when I wrote my story first I could get a better organized story of a beginning a middle and an end. I'll go listen to A Moment in Time and get back to you...

POWER OF A SONG (Version 2)

Chet A Blum & Barry D Butler

2011 - - - All Rights Reserved

A song can lift you up

You feel like you can fly

It can make you sad

Feel like you want to cry

It can make you feel

You're with a true friend

It can make you wish

The song would never end

Chorus The power of a song

Can light up your life

It can give you chills

Turn what's wrong to right

The power of a song

Ageless and timeless

This my friend

Is the power in a song

It can turn your frown

To a missing smile

It can ease your troubles

Go that extra mile

It can warm your heart

Caress you like a loving fire

It can fill you up

With brand new desire

Chorus The power of a song

Can light up your life

It can give you chills

Turn what's wrong to right

The power of a song

Ageless and timeless

This my friend

Is the power in a song

Bridge When nothing's going right

Your world's feeling wrong

It can make you tap your feet

And sing along

Chorus The power of a song

Can light up your life

It can give you chills

Turn what's wrong to right

The power of a song

Ageless and timeless

This my friend

Is the power in a song
