Hi Noel,

I drop in from time to time but don't get here as often as I used to. So much going on with the ASC (which is good of course) but it doesn't leave me much time to unwind here these days. Would love to stay connected though. Hope you're well and busy being creative.

Hi Noel,

I'm a regular visitor and relatively new contributor. I'm a full-time solo muso and also active online in the Chapman Stick community (on Stickist.com), so I tend to run out of steam by the time I get here. If you're ever in Adelaide, chances are you'll find me in Rundle Mall entertaining the masses.

Cheers,
Andy

Hey there,
A year on....just popped back in myself!
I run open mic nights at Katoomba Hotel every Wednesday - APRA venue.
Come along - give us a call if you are coming a long way to ensure you get a spot!!

Hi Eliot.

I don't get here much these days. Life seems to get busier and busier!

I don't get out the the Blue Mountains much, but will keep your gigs in mind for some of my Sydney songwriters. I run ASC Songwriter Assist Inc (ASCSA), a small songwriter organisation that has sprung up from the annual Australian Songwriters Conference - and I'm an APRA member myself. Through ASCSA I run a monthly songwriter performance night at Ettalong Beach on the NSW Central Coast and I'm working on starting a couple more up this way, so if your interested in some cross-promotion, let me know by emailing me at president@ascsa.org.au. Most of our songwriters live between Sydney and Newcastle so I'm happy to let them know about your gig in Katoomba.

Hey Lisa and Noel,

Welcome, Eliot and Andy.

We're a small contingent, but make up for it vocally wise. LOL

Hmmm.......

Lisa, just gave you a mention in a post on the General Board. ( about shonky song writing contests, of all things, but a positive mention always helps, I say ) Thanks for that invite, ....maybe, hopefully I can make it next year. Sounds like it went down really well. Keep em coming !

Noel, good to talk to you. We'll catch up one day.

I don't think our US mates realise how big Oz is, and how few people we have. Trying to have a JPF meeting in Oz would be like ( as Brian puts it ), herding ferral cats.

Anyways, hope you are all well.

cheers, Geoff

Hi Geoff,

I just read through the thread about the song contest scam. Wow! You're amazing! Great detective work there.

Sorry you couldn't make it to the ASC in June. You would have loved it. I'm working towards 2011 now, as well as another Buskathon and also a two day Musicians Expo. Next June long weekend will be thumpin' in Ettalong! Hee hee!

Hey Allan,

Welcome.

Yeah, NZ is close enough. I'm a Kiwi too, been here for 25 yrs, so I sorta straddle the ditch.

Make sure you get in there and SCREAM LOUD. There's not many of us, so need to make up for it in our brilliant music talent amd AWESOMENESS from down under. grin

cheers, niteshift
