I have some experience in getting a song written and demo's made, etc., I'm pretty darn good at writing lyrics (and I know how to write them so that they CAN be put to music without the collaborator's head exploding) and I'm looking for someone (hopefully in the same part of the U.S. as me-but not absolutely necessary) who can work with me and either help me put my lyrics to music or do it all for me. The genre's I am interested in (in no particular order) are: Blues/jazz, rockabilly, R&B, Christian rock. Not into rap, modern dance or any of that stuff. I'm kind of an old fashioned dude. Thanks! John

Hello John and welcome to JPF. You can post a lyric or two on the lyric boards (or a demo on the mp3 board) and rustle up some comments ... or maybe even a collaborator. Good luck and have fun.

John,
Welcome to JPF. Kevin's suggestion is the best way to dip your toes in. Also by commenting on others. Check out postings on the mp3 board if you're only looking for musicians, and also post your lyrics or offer feedback on others (the best way to get is to give) and folks will welcome you in. That's a good starting point for anyone new.

I think it is best to find someone in your local area to work with. If you have a music store close by you may find a collabarator you can hook up with. If you can sing your songs you might buy a recorder of some kind and record your songs. From there you can have a pro demo service do some demos.

Hello,
I may be the person you are looking for. I have everything I need except lyrics and guitar player, really. I can compose tunes to lyrics, but just can get the lyrics to come. I have a studio, and actually do demos for people. So maybe we can collaborate, and I can send u tracks to put guitar parts on. Shoot me an email at stuckey@bellsouth.net
