I live in my late parents house and naturally I'm planning to have family over for Christmas. I have a 14 pound turkey and I'm looking for ideas for a stuffing. I do have a family stuffing that my mother made (she was from northeast Georgia near Tenn. and SC). It's a sausage/cornbread stuffing (recipe below). My brother will make that stuffing separate from the turkey, but I want to make a stuffing that I've never had before to stuff the turkey.
Would appreciate any ideas.

Southern Sausage Cornbread Stuffing

1 pan fresh cornbread
1 Lb. breakfast sausage (Jimmy Dean?) crumbled and browned
1/2 medium onion finely chopped
1/2 medium green bell pepper finely chopped
3-4 hard boiled eggs chopped
1 can of concentrated cream of chicken soup
salt/pepper to taste

Crumble up the cornbread into a bowl. add the remaining ingredients, adding the can of soup last for moisture consistency. You may have to use the whole can. Mix with hands (wear plastic or latex, or vinyl gloves if you're a germ freak). Stuff the turkey or bake in a separate pan at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes until the top becomes brown.

This is a basic recipe. You can add other ingredients like celery, sage etc. It's an old recipe that I grew up eating during Holidays.
