This is one of the three demo songs that Hector has cut - They persuaded me to produce an album for him. I never thought I would hear a doo wop rap song. I would appreciate your comments and opinions. You have to figure out the lyrics for yourself - it is rap law........ Thanks in advance Tom http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=831131&songID=12060141

Very original and creative, Tom. I actually like this one although I had my doubts before listening. Very good stuff. Give Hector my kudos.

For some reason, this track makes me think of Bruce Springsteen. Did you realize that you've got this set for free downloads at Soundclick? I Googled "Doo Wop Rap"...interesting.

Tom, I really liked the arrangement--and what a cool concept. The timing should be good for this as rap has been crossing over with more conventional melodies the last couple of years--but I haven't heard the "du-wap" sound with rap yet. I think this song needs a little more polish, but you're close. I think the base and drums are coming through fine, the keyboard perhaps could be slightly louder, not much, just 1 dec., any more than the vocal could get too far back.
One idea you might want to try for fun that I thought would be a nice addition, is to have a "girl's" voice sing a harmony on only the "Hey Girl" on the the last two choruses, I found myself wanting to sing that there myself--just a thought for experimentation.
Very cool, I liked it a lot!

Thanks for the comments. We will be refining it for the final song - good ideas and comments.

Yep - all of the songs I put on Soundclick for free download --- my philosophy is that it is more important to get the songs out there, rather than try to make a few cents. Tom

I love this, Tom. Charming and quite catchy. Really like the switch into the "Hey Girl" chorus. Fine vocals. I wish the lyrics had been posted. I couldn't make out all of them, but what I heard sounded tight. Donna
