Goodness, Glynda! Get better, girl. I know how tenacious you are. Saying prayers. Well, you are on the Shout Box. Wow. I'm impressed. You can't keep a good woman down long.
Harriett is a sweet, sweet person.
"Grits is one of those country-boy words that is both singular and plural-like deer, elk and sheep. I think the singular is appropriate when there's a modifier that makes it clear one is talking about something specific. Like, 'Grits are good for you, but these here grits is tasty.'"~~Joe Wrabek

Hi to all my wonderful and loving friends here on JPF's...I'm still not able to sit for long periods, and it's hard to go into another room to my office to use my computer...today my son-in-law and his brother moved my desk and computer into my bedroom, so all I have to do is move a few feet....still can't sit up long but it's easier now....don't have my laptop anymore....
anyway wanted to tell everyone I'm fine...my daughter tends to worry really easy...I've been on the ventilator now 4 times and don't want to go on it again...that's such a wicked machine and although that's what I did in my career is work with people with heart and breathing problems, manage life support and I now have a lot more respect for that machine...
Everyone here is so wonderful for the prayers, thoughts and good wishes...and Hey, Harriett coming to see me was for sure th highlight of my day..hell, the whole week...
When I first went on the vent this time, the doctor told Sherri and my family that I'd only be on it overnight...and I was on it 5 days, off one and back on overnight and off and on for another day...so most went home that first night, except Sherri....she never left until the day Harriett came, poor girl was so tired...but I'll never forget waking up and feel her holding my hand, and most times she was lying her head down on my bed, but still holding my hand...this will forever be in my mind..and it still feels so good thinking of how much she loves me...
I came back to this thread today, only because I was thinking of Mike Caro...and I know we all love him too and want only the best for him...I pray this will turn around and he too can feel relief.....
I'm home all the time now, I did go to church this last Sunday, but had to leave as soon as the service was over, but it felt so good getting out...had Thanksgiving at my sisters, 2 houses down the hill from me...and it was great,,she really went all out.
You know, I feel Just Plain Folks is the best place to be, I feel most of you are even closer than some of my own family and I'll never forget any of you either...when I want to feel good, or need help getting through something...all I have to do is check in and by the time I get off the computer, you know I'm feeling like a million bucks...and I have it all to thank all of you for...
so....hey..JUST PLAIN FOLKS....I LOVE YOU ALL AND AGAIN AND AGAIN THANKS TO BRIAN FOR GIVING US SUCH A WONDERFUL PLACE TO CALL HOME AND COME TO WHEN WE NEED COMFORT THAT WE CAN'T FIND ANYWHERE ELSE....
YEAH...JPF'S......FOREVER......
glyn

Dear Glyn,
You were one of the first people I connected with when I came here, and wow, what a GREAT time we always had!!! I love your songwriting and just your wonderful, humorous nature! I have so treasured your friendship, and feel so guilty because I have been absent for so long and immersed in so much in my personal life, I didn't stay in touch with you like I should have, and I'm so sorry. I pray that you are feeling better, I pray that your condition improves, and I'm sending healing vibes your way! I love you, Sister G, you made me laugh until my belly hurt and I was gasping for breath! You made me cry once in a while, when you couldn't hide your pain from me any longer. You always encouraged me and supported me, and I hope I did the same for you. I have missed you, and I hope that your health improves! God bless you!

Dearest Glyn, I'm one of those who would go back to read your posts appreciating all the experience and care you put into words. I want to thank you for all your inspiration. Of course I wish a better future for you and am joining my prayers to the rest of JPF's

Hi Glyn It is such good news you are on the mend. Thinking of you and Mike Caro right now. Always in my heart. Lv Michele
