WHAT DOES CHRISTMAS MEAN TO ME
I wondered as a little child what Christmas meant to me Was it gifts, toys or packages underneath the Christmas tree Was it all about a man in red whose reindeered sled I'm told Would yearly make a trip at night to visit each household
Was it about the Christ child who in a manger he was born Was visited by shepards, three kings and a drummer boy Was it about the angels singing Glory to the King I asked myself "What does Christmas mean to me"
I wondered as a little child what Christmas meant to me Was it kisses from a puppy's face as he knocks you to your knees Was it all about the way you felt with family and friends Sharing, caring hoping that time will never end
Was it about traditions, gifts given from the heart Carols playing, snow falling, stockings on the hearth Was it about believing in things we can not see I asked myself "What does Christmas mean to me"
Bridge: Was it about the ribbons, was it about the bows Was it about the neon lights flashing from the stores Was it about believing in things we can not see I asked myself "What does Christmas mean to me"

Hi zzthomas
Welcome aboard, first of all.
I really like this, something we've all probably wondered at some point and it really captures the sentiment. Although it seems to read as a poem rather than a song and I would be inclined to leave it as it is. Because making it more song like would ruin it in my opinion.
Best Roger

Have had a demo made and may try to figure out how to post. Thanks for the good words. Have had a guy say when he heard it the first time, "I can't get that melody out of my head since hearing that song and it has been going through my head all morning". Thanks again Roger.

Hi,
I like the imagery and I have a soft spot for Christmas songs.
I'm a little puzzled by your song structure. I guess I'd have to hear it to know if each section is the same or different.
I also wish you answered the question and gave it an aha! moment to give the song some forward movement.
Hope you're able to post the music in the mp3 forum.
