my composer just sent me a link to some music for song lyrics I had sent him...
they are in AIFF format-which I have never worked with before..
I have Windows 8 and the media player couldnt play them....In fact I couldnt even find the files in my computer after I downloaded them.. I downloaded a file converter program.......it doesnt even list AIFF format........
any suggestions? I asked my composer to send the files in MP3 format...But I hate looking like an idiot to him.....I would rather look like one to my friends in JPF who have lower expectations of me-lol........
Thanks
Tom

Hi Tom! Simply convert that Apple format file to a WAV, and get to work!
For looking for that file you downloaded, just search your PC using the name of the title sent, or look under "Today" if possible.
That file is similar to a WAV, as it's large, and uncompressed. Used mainly on Macs like I have, being an Apple format. So just drag or select that AIFF file in your converter and make a WAV out of it. All you need to see on the converter is WAV.
Have Fun!

Yes dem files do get confusing. The only files I understand is Binders, uh full of women. Now those files I understand. It's all Greek to me.

You're welcome Tom
You can send your completed WAV back to him when done. The reason his file was AIFF is because he didn't select any other on his Mac's drop down box of options.
