Self doubt is easy, it's everyone else's doubts that are hard.
There are plenty of mediocre at best, songs and songwriters who have made it, and plenty of great songs ans songwriters who have not.
Just got tell yourself "im going to do me, well"
No two people are the same so no two songwriters or songs are the same. They all have a place.
Everybody has something to offer to someone listening.
Some have more to offer to more, but that's just how it is.
I dont think the sex pistols were concerned about their lack of musicianship or that they didnt measure up. They just went out and did what they knew how to do and they did a pretty damn good job out of it.
Find your niche.

Doubt destroys what might have been.
Doubt comes from our internal self talk. Our habitual scripts. What we say to ourselves and how we say it. Those words we choose to use after "I AM" ...
One technique is to switch the script. write out a new list of "I Am's" and start saying them set up regular times when you review your list 1) Right when you wake up 2) right before you work on your goal 3) right before you go to bed.
Sometimes it takes a while of saying the new script to really believe and accept it. Sometimes we require proof before we'll let ourselves believe.
"Acting as if" is an important technique. Act as if you already are what you most want to be. If you want to be a professional songwriter, act as if you already are one.
It helps if your goals a believable, it helps if they are within reach.
Sometimes doubt is reality and sometimes doubt is useful. There's nothing like a good dose of disatisfaction and disappointment to inspire you into action and achievement.
Some people have confidence when they should have doubt. Some folks are delusional. Some folks need to reconsider their goals.
We all have where we are and where we hope to be or what we hope to achieve. Action is what moves us closer to our goals and our thoughts get us to act. Destroy doubt. Get clear, get focused.
