Impossible to pick just one, Joe. But, for today, it is:
"People have a hard time accepting anything that overwhelms them." - Bob Dylan
This was his response to an interviewer who noted that people couldn't believe Shakespeare wrote the volume that he did.

Michael, is that like responding to "See you later" with "Not if I see you first"?
Scott, it interesting that Dylan would say that. He is kind of the Shakespeare of lyric writing-profound, funny, dramatic, prolific and prodigious. I can't believe Dylan wrote all that stuff. He must have had ghost writers! But then I'm overwhelmed.

I see a country song in this quote.

I was just making light of the subject, but when I heard him say it, it made me laugh. Andrew Hogg Brown is "Andy" from the old "Amos and Andy" radio/tv show.

Today's favorite: "If you were my wife, I'd drink it." - Winston Churchill This was in response to Lady Astor who said to him, "If you were my husband, I would put poison in your tea". Scott

This is a quote I used in the first song I wrote. I love it.

If it's to be, it's up to me.
Not sure who first said that.
