Sorry I haven't been listening to many tunes - been pretty sick for over a month with some horrendous bug. I recorded the music tracks to this awhile back - just knowing the first and last line to each verse. Yesterday was the first day I've felt a spring in my step since early May - so I finished it off. Just a simple thing......short and sappy... If My Legs Could Walk a Million Miles is here: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=377550&songID=11722070I'll stick the lyric below. Scott If My Legs Could Walk a Million Miles (c) 2012 by S.W. Campbell If my legs could walk a million miles I’d walk that many just to see you smile I’d burn through a thousand pairs of shoes For you to kiss away my blues If my legs could walk a million miles If my mind could dream a billion dreams I’d dream movies where you starred in every scene Heroine or femme fatale Either way you’d be my gal If my mind could dream a billion dreams If I can’t dream a billion dreams Then I can hatch a dozen schemes…… Instrumental verse If I can’t dream a billion dreams Then I can hatch a dozen schemes…… If my heart could beat a trillion times It’d beat a pattern only yours would find It would call you like a jungle drum Until our two would beat as one If my heart could beat a trillion times If my heart could beat a trillion times If my heart could beat a trillion times

Scott, what a treat. Some very good rhyming schemes... great hook... very nice. Some of the lines are truly great: "Heroine or femme fatale, Either way you'd be my gal"

Hey Scott,
I enjoyed this one for sure(still am). Very catchy and upbeat and I find myself still tapping my feet to the beat and the melody is playing in my head. Ditto for the "Heroine or femme fatale" line. Great stuff!
Thanks for the lift in spirit, Danny

Hey Scott, To keep from repeating "walk" in the second line, I offer this as an alternative, keep or sweep I know I'd go that far to see you smile

Hey Scott, I like the melody. You have a way of inventing good melodic songs. The harp only added and reinforced a good melody that appeals to the ear.
I love your songs Scott.

Really nice, Scott. I especially like it when the harmony kicks in. Not really sure why the numbers increase. Maybe a million is enough but hey ho. Good to see you back. Vic

Mackie Thanks Mackie - I miss this place when I'm away from it for any real length of time. No, it's not a chromatic - I had to do one major bend to hit the note. Scott \

Hey Scott, To keep from repeating "walk" in the second line, I offer this as an alternative, keep or sweep I know I'd go that far to see you smile Hey Shayne: Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, that would work. However, in this case I did that intentionally. If you look at the second line in all three verses it uses the corresponding main word from the line before. I find that technique pleasing. I'm sure not everybody does though Scott

Really nice, Scott. I especially like it when the harmony kicks in. Not really sure why the numbers increase. Maybe a million is enough but hey ho. Good to see you back. Vic Thanks Vic - glad you liked it. The numbers had to be a little outrageous. Couldn't say "walk a hundred miles" because that's doable. And a trillion is just too many. For heartbeats though, it's a different story. Assuming about 60 beats per minute, a heart will beat a million times in less than a year and a billion in about 30 years. So needed to go bigger. Sometimes it doesn't do me any good that I like math and science. Scott

Dang -- you always do a great job on your tunes. Ya know 50/90 is starting July 4th. My goal this year is to co-write a tune with you (or 50!). I am glad you are feeling better. I had a might nasty one last fall, I thought for sure I was dying! But I pulled through to annoy the world with more tunes. I just can't critique your tunes -- it's like trying to tell Babe Ruth how to hit a home run (there's a song idea right there). Kevin

I knew I'd like this one before I even listened to the first tone. A typical Scott Campbell tune, just the way I like it. The chord progression, the instrumental part, the lyrics - everything's just fine! By the way: "Over the moon for you" still makes me smile regularly - still one of the best songs, I found here.

I'm sorry our plans for earlier in the year fell through - I over-committed myself on some things and was far busy than I expected. But I'm willing to try again now. Glad to hear that this thing can be survived. Glad you liked this, Kevin Scott

I reckon there's a difference between ringing my bell and having my bell rung. Hope to do more of the former and less of the latter I like this style but don't know if the muse will keep sending them to me. She's a little fickle. We'll see. Scott

Sick since MAY???!!!! UGH..... I broke my ankle about 8 weeks ago, I can sorta sympathize with - not getting up and about and feeling crummy. Kudos to you that you got some writing done! This has the classic Scott feel .. I so enjoy your songwriting & chord progressions and all that stuff. Great to hear you again. Hope you're mending and feeling better day by day! I'm not reading whole threads.... can't right now... just listening and typing my thoughts as I go -- as the song plays & I read the lyrics etc. PM me if you have anything specific for me... I'm dashing in, dashing out just barely on the boards these days ... but better than not here at all L

I was worried that it would be too similar to Vanessa Carlton - A Thousand Miles, but it's not. I dig it Scott! I hope you're feeling better too.

Very nice. I like the buildup to the "bridge" right before the instrumental. That bridge is great and I like the instrumental a lot.
Has that Scott Campbell sound and family resemblance going on. Great job.
