Hi everyone. Just in case nobody's getting the meaning of this song that's been laying around for awhile, I found new meaning to it, shared it with my mother and she said she found it very close to the concerns of thousands of amounts of soldiers in the Iraq war committing suicide. Considering we found that the figurative represantations are actually more spiritual than religious and really bring home the feel of such a reality, I really want to take this song more seriously and am hoping to get more and, when read, meaningful things to say about this song. So read the lyrics and give some thought to whether you agree! Thanks to all who have read my song so far. Bianca. once again, here's my link http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=11695442GAINING Choose between death or victory. Make you mind up. Quickly. Time has come for you to be the leader Of your own war Destined to defeat Self defense is all you know Still is the sun Watching you run Wondering if you’re ever gonna stop Being stubborn Between love and loss And truth and lies And feeding the devil Between paying your tithes You’ll never gain back what you paid in full Unless you give the world your own heart. Choose between peace or violence Instead you watch your soldiers wilt...like violets It’s about time to called this game a day A simple twist of fate Is yet to come You will regret it...unless you accept it You won’t burn in hell You’ll just feel compelled To know all you’ve done Is for nothing Between love and loss And truth and lies And feeding the devil Between paying your tithes You’ll never gain back what you paid in full Unless you give the world your own heart. Don’t you see where you can control Your faults And destroy your will.... Nothing is better Than to surrender and release all you ever thought You needed to give up on. Between love and loss And truth and lies And feeding the devil Between paying your tithes You’ll never gain back what you paid in full Unless you give the world your own heart. Be in charge of what you believe in... And you will see the rays of sun against your face. ©2012 Bianca W.
