SORRY HAS JUST BEGUN V1: We'd just got back from a friend's place In the summer of ninety one Lizzie, my wife, had a look on her face She knew what I had done
V2: Well, judging by her knowing looks My secrets could not hide And the lipstick on my collar Blew my story open wide
CHORUS: So our perfect world And our wonderful life Was a beautiful place In paradise Now I'm praying Lizzie won't give up and run 'Cause sorry... has just begun
V3: Oh, what have I lost? Oh, what have I learned? I should've listened when my conscience said 'You're gonna get your fingers burned'
V4: Tender hearts torn apart 'Cause I gave in to temptation Waking up in bed with my wife's best friend Is the road straight to damnation
CHORUS:
BRIDGE: Never thought I'd want to kiss another woman My Lizzie is the only one I'm praying she won't throw our love away Because of what I've done
CHORUS:© 2012 Andy Furlong ADF201207 v1.

Wipe that tear away. Man up! (as they say) Lipstick on your collar conjured up an old Connie Francis song. Jim

Jim, Everyone knows men don't really cry. That'll be our secret though. Andy

But that is not really true. Men DO cry. Just listen to some of the accounts on the nightly news of those that have lost kids or other family members to violence. It was for sure foolish of subject to wear a piece of clothing with someone else's lipstick attached to it. That alone would force one to come clean because there is no way out. Body of song says it all--no nits on that part.
Peace, Brian

OK Brian, It's true, I've been known to shed a tear or two, but peeling onions always has that effect on me. Thanks for 'no nits'! Andy

wow. you put the idea of cheating in plain sight...and YES men do cry and should cry...when it's desparation they caused by the nature of guilt. no offense on that. everyone cheats, it's not right, and you feel the damnation but seriously, people who feel drawn to that song have to put it behind them but then, it's a cheating song so i prob don't know half what i'm talking about, sheesh.
seriously though, great song. nice picture too, i love good photography. who did the artwork?
