Have you been to GDC? AKA Game Developers Conference. I went for the first time this year. It was well worth the trip as composer. Here's a post about my thoughts of going: http://jodywhitesides.com/blog/2012/03/10/gdc-its-a-wrap/Enjoy! I recommend that composers go. It's worth it.

Yes! I was there. It was my 2nd, and I agree it's a necessity if you're in games :-) Wish our paths could have crossed but it's an insanely busy convention. Did you have an Audio pass?

Hey Andrew, I had an Expo pass. My agent told me no need to get the pass and then one of my endorsements offered me an Expo pass. Met a lot of people. Well worth the week I spent there.
Happy I just did a lot of orchestral stuff for a network. It will work out for showing a lot of audio directors what I can do.
We'll have to meet up soon.

I would be interested in hearing your orchestration work, Jody. Please post when up, or send me a PM about it. That type of music has always been my forte, with able to compose many instruments to aid in the feel and meaning of the piece, for myself, and two pieces for short films Buddy and I scored. FUN! Like exploring in the mountains. Much to see when you're up close, and to have different viewpoints for things far away. Know what I mean? I'm sure you do. Like Mike Caro always says to me, "How can you NOT think about everything, (with everyday life's issues, and his medical one), for you're a composer, along with being a songwriter". http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=328343Sounds like you had a good time and a meaningful one. Thanks Johnny
