I cowrote the title cut "Easy Memories" with the artist, my good buddy, Dave Leatherman. Dave's a bluegrasser, 3 time SPBGMA "Traditional Male Vocalist if the Year. The album features harmonies by Patti Loveless and current IBMA Female Vocalist of the Year, Dale Ann Bradley as well as a bunch of legendary bluegrass pickers. Give a listen! http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/daveleathermanMike

Great sounds, Mike! Awesome cowrite. Patty is one of my all time favourite country artists. I loved her "You don't seem to miss me" in the nineties, and love the roots stuff she's done too. Really nice CD with Dave! Those boys can PICK! Did you play on the record, Mike?

Thanks, folks. Mags, yes they can pick. Patti fell in love with Dave's voice and her fiddle player, Deannie Richardson, produced this. Deannie got 5 time IBMA bass player of the year Mike Bub to play the bass, so I got aced out No complaints here, it's a great cut.

Congrats Mike. My cousin lives near Louisville and he used to jam on guitar with Patty's brother.

Thanks, folks. I've gotten several indie cuts before, but this, though also indie, and my cut on Razzy Bailey's recent album, are the most "mainstream." It should be noted that both cuts came through personal relationships and cowriting.

Mike, Congrats on a great cut. Bluegrass is such a pure music genre, the sound, the playing, the harmony, you can actually hear it all...ha. I wish more mainstream music was as wholesome. My "Easy Memories" reminds me you were the first person to welcome me when I showed up here at JPF...made alot of good friends here over the years...keep on keepin' on my man. Be well, Moker

Mike, "I can still hear momma singin' 'Bringing in the sheaves'" Sounds like a solid song. That's another notch in your gun. Good work.

I love me some bluegrass, and this is fantastic, and Patty has such a wonderful Appalachian moan to her voice that is heartbreaking and wonderful. Congrats!!! Kim
