I love this, reminds me of my husband that died, he was 38 and I'll always love him, and this song reminds me so much of him, thanks for the memories...loving this and I do miss your music and voice....loving this.....man, this does hit home so much...you coming back and bringing this song...what a come back for me..

Very pretty song. I think if you sing it again, you might try to abbreviate She will and It will just to even out those lines and make them less wordy for the sing, but a nice song.

I'm going back and forth on having the chorus after every verse, I think it would be interesting to hear this song with a lift in the melody of every other verse and only two chorus in there so that it is more effective emotionally, but it is a very pretty song and just my mind meandering on the possibilities!!

I don’t know if you’re just sharing or looking for crits, but I’ll say that this comes across as a heartfelt, gentle song. You may want to keep it in 3rd person and switch “you” in the first line to “her” to be consistent. If you look to switch it up, like Tammy mentioned, I can hear the instrumental right before the “I’d love to make her happy” verse. Especially enjoyed this:

I had already had changed it to her but had recorded it the other way.Nice to hear from you!Thanks for your comment on my guitar playing it was just a song i felt i had to write for a friend.AJ PS When i play it live with a lead guitarist i play an instrumental at the end but i could put one where you are talking about too.If you want to hear By My Side which i have only posted as a lyric so far you can go to the same link as She Sheds A Tear it is right there with it.AJ
