Hi all....please let me know what you think of my little song? Thanks............. -Tom “Love Is A Hard, Hard Heart Ache” by Tom Tognaci http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10159995Love is a motion, where the spirit wants to go Love is emotion, a blue sea of undertow Love is a hard, hard heart ache Love is a hard, hard heart ache Love is a fire that can make you feel alive Love is a liar that can pierce you like a knife Love is a hard, hard heart ache Love is a hard, hard heart ache Love is as free as the wind blows As only Winter knows If love is only for your body to make… …Then love is a hard, hard heart ache Love is a hard, hard heart ache Love is a starlight, which can steal you from the moon Love is a midnights bastion, wailing like a loon Love is a hard, hard heart ache Love is a hard, hard heart ache Love is a flower, waiting someday to unfold Love is a power, in a flash it can explode Love is a hard, hard heart ache Love is a hard, hard heart ache

Pretty cool with the guitar and that clock driving the song along. Sounds good to me. Good singing and playing. Maybe ease back on that vocal echo a little bit. Pretty nice. the "speaking" part was hard to make out. Good harmonies.

Really enjoyed this new song of yours, Tom. I think lyrically and musically it's perfect. I like the clock chiming. Seems like instrumentally, you might be able to give it more interest and emotional feeling.
I listened to this twice, and it has a great feel. You're on a roll!

Nice song Tom Good feel... I have a personal rule, I often go by. Either you never use the word love in a song or you use it all over the song The way you went with it has charm. Also had a retro vibe, with the style and the sound which I liked. Simple & Smooth.... All the best Mike

That is a helluva song, Tom - nice! You've got a great ear for sweet melodies and nice hooks. I did find the doubled vocal a little distracting when they were both singing the same part. I used to use that technique on every song - but I was sure I needed it and I'm sure that you don't. Scott

-Hey there Scott....thanks for the nice comments...Maybe it's a phase...but I sure like the sound I get...but you are right, I've never been really confident of my singing.....not to say there is anything wrong with your voice....you have a distinct sound that is really good. Thanks again.. -Tom

Tom, i enjoyed your song.
This line: Love is a midnights bastion, wailing like a loon ...seems too 'fancy' for the simple language in the rest of the lyric.

This line: Love is a midnights bastion, wailing like a loon ...seems too 'fancy' for the simple language in the rest of the lyric. I like to throw in teasers, in every song I write. I've been there in those Midnight bastions wailing like a loon....they're not as romantic as they sound. Thanks for commenting Shayne!! -Tom
