This Train
Thought i heard a distant train, chugglin' through the rain Way back around a bend in my mind Thought i heard a hobo sing, about the heartaches love can bring Echoeing down that forgotten delta line
This train, pushing through my foggy memories I hear the whistle i see the smoke bellowing black This train,is an iron ghost riding on past me On these silver rails of yesterday, never coming back
Thought i heard a distant train, rumblin' it's sad refrain As it passes by the briar filled potters ground It lays down a lonesome whistle,to the crosses of the nameless Who's journey's end was never found
This train, pushing through my foggy memories I hear the whistle,i see the smoke bellowing black This train,is an iron ghost riding on past me On these silver rails of yesterday, never coming back
And this train, rolls on forever in my mind And this train, takes it farther down the line And this train, doesn't forget to blow as it passes me One last time
This train, pushing through my foggy memories I hear the whistle,i see the smoke bellowing black This train,is an iron ghost riding on past me On these silver rails of yesterday, never coming back

HiDee CycleGuy!
Darn Good Train Song, Amigo!
Lemmie Mess wit a Few Lines, All KOS:
"Thought I heard a Hobo sing 'bout heartaches love can bring/ Echoed down that long-forgotten Delta line"
"I hear a whistle, see smoke billowing black"
"On silver rails of yesterday, never coming back"
"Passing by a briars-filled..potter's ground/ Lays down a somber whistle to the crosses of the nameless/ Whose Journey's End is hidden, rarely-found"
Overall, Fine Job, Amigo! KOS the Sugs/Good Luck with This One!
Best Wishes & a Big Guy-Hug, Stan

Love train songs, this is a really fine lyric Michael, a good 'ole Hank Snow or Johnny Cash type of feel with it. Regards Travis

Hey, Mojo!!!
Mighty fine writing... super train song! Has that eerie sound, can imagine with some heavy minor chords, and a deep vocal! Nice one!
