but you're quickly heading for one of these....

as I'm not making your connections!

But... it could be my foggy brain. Anyone who can help me "get it" (either of Kurt's!) please do. LOL!

PS Best I can figure is... there were Wilson's in the Beach Boys... and WILSON Pickett.. but you need to jus' say that out loud for any brain-dead among us... like me ... ROFL!

I've played these type games a lot and really enjoy them. I think they go better when there's a little more cohesion and obvious connection from one entry to another. You can do artist, title, or line but it seems to me too discombobulated to do them all in one game.

But anyhow....

If I'm following right, these are the last two entries:

  • When A Child Is Born - Johnny Mathis
  • When a Man Loves a Woman - Percy Sledge

My song title entry:
  • Just Another Woman In Love - Anne Murray

If you could make any off the wall entry, I'd say artist

  • Charley Pride

What? Charley Pride? Sure, he's from Sledge, MS. (connect to Percy Sledge)

CONGRATULATIONS, on that! smile

anyway... just please pass along that tidbit of info, as we are not all walking music encyclopedias smile
and my brain is fried from my thyroid being out. I may wobble down the hall like I'm drunk but, it's just a little gland in my throat misfiring. smile

NOTE: If asking "wow are you drunk?" offends any player, we can change this little jab -- open to suggestions wink but boy I know SOME of y'all HAVE posted here tipsy before and even said so, so...... jus' saying...... LOL it could happen!
Figuring "drunk" is more temporary than "dumb" ... hahaha and it MIGHT be me that's brainless here... thyroid levels off tend to do that, especially to me smile

EXTRA STARS to Kurt for coming up with the MOST RANDOM associations in this whole thread so far!!

PS GOOGLE for a good song choice is OK smile

LOVE the brown star... hahhaaa I'd say that's deserving.
YES!!... we're all getting into the spirit of this!!
with 40-million songs in existence we shouldn't at least repeat on near the same page LOL.

hi Ray!!! YES those two songs associate great,....
but what we are playing here is follow the leader... or leapfrog... or something like that... grin hehe

So Ray gets a Little Blue Star for trying grin

SO: the next song up in line with which to make a New Association is:

Girl, You'll be a Woman Soon - Neil Diamond

Hi Sausage! Hm it's breakfast and you sound like you'd go good with my eggs. smile

Discombobulated is my middle name!!! ROFL!
Either play, or don't grin

But you did great. Just right!
Besides we're musicians and songwriters and pretty smart people and the random wild associations are the funnest. Shoot for the stars!! smile

Good catch, O Walking Encyclopedia! smile

[color:#CC0000]AND... SAUSAGE: many songs get covered by many different artists - no need to go for the original if you know of a published cover - so whoever you want to put, who DID do the song, is fine.
And Google is fine too.

Glad you're having fun! Good afternoon!

No worries Jen!! - Bloopers will happen. As this goes along (if it keeps up!!) we'll all have to figure out to just Watch the Topic or "Go to LAST" when we come in to see what the latest song is.

No penalties for that - except we may all chuckle. grin

Anyone up for lunch?[/color]

I just thought it was funny because I think I know everything but now and then I find out I don't.
