If You Were Gonna Cry Some Anyway © 2011 Kevin Pearson
It's so hard to let go of the loves that we have known no choice but to go on and cover up what we know is gone but You can call me any day if you were gonna cry some anyway
and I will wipe your tears and you can wipe mine, too we'll smile at the years and the faces we knew Yeah You can call me any day if you were gonna cry some anyway
Aren't we so darn strong turn the radio when we hear that song I guess that's growing up like me you've had more than enough but You can call me any day if you were gonna cry some anyway
Just one night to set loose what we can't get off our minds Yeah we were gonna cry some anyway
So I'll will wipe your tears and you can wipe mine, too we'll smile at the years and the faces we knew Yeah You can call me any day if you were gonna cry some anyway

Hi Kevin, Nice lyric here. I suggest changing (loves) in the 2nd line V1 to love. It seems you're talking to one person so that may just be a typo. Dottie

Hi, Kevin! I like this one a lot! It kind of feels to me like 2 lady friends willing to be one anothers' crying shoulder over the loves that each of them has lost, and they are being there for one another. If I'm right about that (it might be bold to say, but I can't see where I'm wrong), then maybe your bridge could define and build it a little more for clarification... just an idea, keep or sweep:
I'm so thankful for you, girlfriend Let's go cut loose just once, pretend That we can get these guys off our minds Have some fun, some dance, some play... We were only gonna cry some anyway
Happy writing!

Jen,
Thanks for the comments and input. Could work as you think, I was thinking of my sister in law and myself but I hope it reaches into any situation.

Overall good lyric, some condensing could make it better IMO, keep or sweep It's so hard to let ting go of the love s that we have known no choice but to go on and cover up what we know is gone and I will wipe your tears and you can wipe mine, too we'll smile at the years and the faces we knew

Thanks Shayne, good advice I'm sure I was trying to keep it flowing to what I had playing in my head.
