red=revised Edited 02.7Just a rough draft mp3: http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10768496Sometimes the Devil makes sin look so good! Mcfortunato ©2011 V1 Sometimes my mind, chooses to dwell On [color:#FF0000]secret lusts, forbidden dreams, My resistance to, the ways of hell Melts like butter, seared by sun beams, V2 I’m feeling good, as my hopes rise Aroused by her flirts, catchy perfume, She dazzles me, with angel eyes As she wiggles in, skin-tight costume, Chorus Sometimes the Devil makes sin look so good! I just want to give in, knowing that I should not! But, sometimes the Devil makes sin look so good! I just want to have it even though it's red-hot!Sometimes the Devil makes sin look so good! V3 Now my fondness for, sweeter pleasure Lies at the mouth, of my fingertips,But I don’t see, behind its lure Until that hook, line and sinker hits,V4 Caught in the net of, God’s enemy Painfully I, see my mistake, Oh Holy Lord, please forgive me Guard my heart, for Heaven’s sake, Chorus [/color]

The funny thing is Colin, we sometimes would rather risk everything for something we want but can't have, because in our foolish eyes, it promises to be sweeter, and we buy into the lie that there'll be little consequences.
Just think about how many lives have been destroyed over that strategy. --Michael

Aw Gee, Brother Michael, did God REALLY Create Good-Looking Women merely to send our souls into Hell?
Guess we should all marry 4 or 5 of 'em, like the Mormon Guy on TV, so we'll all live Happily-Ever-After, right? ;-)>
Sometimes Religion makes guilt look so bad.
Good Luck with your Soul-Searchin' Song, Amigo! Best Wishes & a Big Guy-Hug, Stan

Michael, really cool lyric. The title grabs you right off. The hook is good and the verses flow very well. Good luck with it. Marvin.

Michael, Well-written, but two words jumped out at me as non-conversational (one of the differences between poetry and lyrics):

Purely subjective Mr. Stan The devil didn't create anybody, as far as I know. But he does have power or influence according to scriptures to tempt us, trick us, deceive us, etc...play with our minds, help us to wrongfully think that sinning (adultery in this example) is highly pleasurable with little or no consequences. That can work either way, male or female. We know there can be tremendous consequences with very short pleasure time. Take John Edwards for one example. Look how far he went to cover his affair up. Was it worth it?
Proverbs 9.17 "Stolen water is sweet; food eaten in secret is delicious!"

Mcfortunato--
Trials and temptations at every turn--Even a BLIND MAN can be tempted by his other senses--STRENGTH TO RESIST--HIS CHOICES--BEGGIN' FOR MERCY--LIFE IS SO HARD FOR MORTALS--EVEN AT MY AGE.
IT GETS DOWN TO THE PERSONAL LEVEL EVERY TIME--IT MAY BE A SIN TO JUST THINK ABOUT IT FROM A DISTANCE--

Mcfortunato,
I meant to lok this one over before. The title brought me in. The funny thing is this subject is ageless. All generations have gone through this. As long as we're human, have feelngs and good eye sight,lol--it's just the way it is. I like th e hook line and sinker. Lol. Good write you have--maybe stick the chorus in another time or two to make it a bit longer. Nice universal topic for sure. Take care, Roger
